I had severe back spasms that necessitated a trip to the ER. My usual chiropractor recommended Robert after a few weeks of very slow progress. I was in severe pain for 6 weeks. After 3 or 4 visits I noticed a lessening of pain and after about 6 visits the pain disappeared completely. Robert explained everything to me about my condition and now my mother is seeing him, he has helped her a lot. This man is a treasure, don't hesitate to see him if you have issues.

My cross-country flight for a visit to Oakland had my neck bothering me to the point of causing headaches. Dr. Townsend came highly recommended and I know why. One of the best chiropractic experiences I’ve ever had. Knowledgeable adjustment that provided relief. He also is phenomenal at patient education and give me lots of pointers for helping with my chronic neck pain. If I lived in the area, he’d be my go-to guy.

Dr. Townsend really surprised me. I don't usually trust walk in clinics but I read his reviews and thought I would give it a shot because i was in unbearable pain. Also other chiropractors were charging upwards of $250 for the first visit and did not accept insurance. I had been suffering from severe back pain for a few days and was not able to stand or walk without assistance. After the first adjustment I was standing and walking with minimal pain just discomfort. The next morning I was able to get out of bed and stand straight. I went for my second adjustment today and I can walk with ease and little to no discomfort. Thank you Dr. Townsend for helping me!

They just don't make them like this anymore. In short, Dr. Townsend is experienced, personable, and provided immediate pain relief at an affordable price. I have paid other very kind, but very incompetent Chiros in Alameda 3x as much as I paid Dr. Townsend and I wish I was lying. He was so good, I even asked him to charge me more and he wouldn't. What he did for my back was amazing and I'm really happy I found him. Long story - I called Dr. Townsend's office in a heap of lower back pain and was hoping to get adjusted that day which I knew was a tall order. He said he could see me two hours later at 6pm. I sensed that he would be ending his day by then, but I appreciated his willingness to see me. I showed up not knowing what to expect and there was one other patient there who he saw first because he called right ahead of me. That patient seemed like a walk-in/first-time patient as well and by the end of the session they were laughing and cracking jokes. That's exactly what I experienced as well - pain relief and much-needed laughter. Dr. Townsend has been practicing for over 14 years and it shows. He knew exactly what I was suffering from and adjusted me quickly with confidence and strength. I felt such relief that I was LITERALLY CRYING TEARS OF JOY. I had been returning to my work out/strength training after gaining the "COVID 19" and my lower back was just killing me to the point of not being able to climb stairs/a stairmaster without stinging pain. He should be charging so much more for his services. His office is quiet, clean, and easy to park in front. He really saved me tonight and I will be going back!
