Shane Conrad Is he a good chiropractor? Sure, for adjustments he can help Running a business and being good with customer service? Not so much, you should know you are not a client, you are his paycheck Here’s my advice. Don’t get sick, and don’t cancel your appointments, ever, regardless even if you’re sick. According to Zoe the receptionist and Dr. Conrad, Dr. Conrad doesn’t get sick, so even if you’re throwing up and having diarrhea you’re expected to still show up. I have been seeing him since 2016. I have spent my fair share with him. I have seen 3 receptionists come and go in that time, and I’m not left wondering why anymore. Here’s what I’ve paid over time since I’ve been going to see him: 2016-$423 2017-$742 2018-$371 2019-$330 Total $1,866 All was well until I had some life emergencies and sickness come up. To start, a few months ago around October 8, 2018, I had something come up and needed to cancel my appointment. I knew within 24hrs and attempted to call during normal business hours. No answer. I didn’t leave a message because I wanted to reschedule and figured I would be able to call after lunch hours. I forgot to call until the day of my appointment after that initial call. I called the next day and canceled my appointment. I was advised I would have to pay a cancellation fee because I cancelled within 24hrs of my appointment. I came in to see him for an adjustment a few weeks later and told him what happened and he was willing to waive the fee as “a one time thing.” Super nice, right? Well, flash forward to February 5th, 2019: The night before my appointment I felt fine, no sickness, no nausea. At 3am, I woke up with a severe stomach bug. So severe I could barely stand and it was coming out of both ends. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this sick. At 6:04am after finishing throwing up again, I realized I needed to call the office and leave a voicemail giving them a heads up that I wouldn’t be able to make my appointment. I felt terrible, I was in bed all day with little to no sleep. There was no way I could’ve gone to my appointment, I also was unable to go to work. I figured that they would be understanding. I mean I’ve been going there for so many years, and I wasn’t making anything up as to how sick I was. A week later, I went in for an adjustment. I found out that I owed a cancellation fee by Zoe, the receptionist. She told me the following things “Dr Conrad doesn’t get sick and you should’ve come in anyway.” She said, “if you feel sick at all the day before, that you should call and cancel within 24hrs.” She said, “if people were aware that the cancellation fee would be waived due to being sick, they would never be able to charge the cancellation fee.” I was being treated as if I was lying. I told her after all of this, that I wouldn’t be coming back. She responded by saying, “let us know if you want us to give you a referral.” (Jaw dropped here for sure) I’ve spoken with friends and family they are all shocked and in disbelief. I thought that this office had the atmosphere of friends and family. I’ve cancelled appointments in my past, most within their policy timeframe, besides these 2 appointments. I was a loyal paying customer and told friends and family how great he had helped me. I’m no flake, I pay every time as well. I understand it’s a business. But this isn’t ethical to treat people like this. Life happens. I was never a no call no show. I always called. I wonder now, if you’re on the way to the office and have a car accident, is he charging cancellation fees? If you have a heart attack or a family member suddenly dies, will you be charged a cancellation fee? I understand you have to own up to mistakes, but was it my fault I got that sick? Mind you, after I was sick like this, my kids got it, my in-laws including 7 other family members got it. It was extremely contagious. Read his response to Matthew Bryant on here. You’ll get the picture. I’m sure I’ll get a similar response.

Dr. Shane has been beyond phenomenal! I recommend him to everyone I know with any kind of pain. I have a disability in my right arm that has cause me chronic pain in my neck and midback my entire life. I constantly would be rubbing my neck nonstop. It was a pain I just thought I would have forever. This is the first time in my life that I have not had that pain!! I worked for a chiropractor for multiple years and have been to about 3 others. Dr. Shane definitely has a different approach to chiropractic care than anyone else I have seen before. Some of the other chiros I have been to will do the exact same adjustment every time and I’m back in their office later that week. Currently, I see Dr. Shane about once every two weeks. He has made suggestions for home excersises and how to modify my CrossFit workouts so I am working within my means and I don’t cause permanent damage to my back with my arm disability. He’s been a game changer and I can’t believe how much relief I have felt after only a few months of going to him.

My name is Dr Nichole Freeman. I, myself, have been a practicing chiropractor for 7 years. However, this summer I broke my wrist and was unable to work. Despite months of various treatments and physical therapy, my wrist hasn't been the same since... Until I met Dr Shane. After evaluating and treating my wrist and forearm, I felt immediate relief! After months of being discouraged and feeling as if I may never be able to practice again, I had hope! It was very emotional as I am in love with what I do. Since his treatment, I have steadily been able to see more patients each week. Dr Shane, I (and ALL of my patients) would like to personally thank you! Words can not express my gratitude.

Dr. Conrad is very knowledgeable and first rate at what he does! As someone who suffers from chronic pain, plus a recent injury, I firmly belive he is the only reason I'm walking right now. No bells a whistles or unnecessary treatments and xrays, just top care and compassion. The office staff, Shasta and Mary, are wonderful and always helpful. They all treat you as a person, not just another body in the door. Can't say enough good things about them all! I have recommended them to several coworkers, and all of them have said the same. You can't find better! Thank you all for your wonderful care and support!

They call him Shane Conrad. We call him Miracle Shane. I have walked into Shane's office countless times feeling terrible, and walked out feeling calm, de-stressed, and adjusted properly. I've been to my share of chiropractors. They are all fired after meeting and getting worked on by Shane. If you have anything wrong with your body, I would recommend Shane above all the rest.
