Warning about this chiropractor: We called to confirm whether they accepted our insurance, and his staff assured us that they did. In fact, they were quite insistent that we come in. They told us we could pay out of pocket and later be reimbursed by UHA insurance. However, we later discovered that reimbursement wasn't possible because the chiropractor is not an in-network provider. We had already explained our insurance details and even provided the information for them to verify, so they knew from the beginning that reimbursement wouldn't be possible. Yet they still pushed us to come in and pay cash up front. Once they got the payment, they no longer cared about what happened next. This felt like a complete scam. They seemed more interested in taking our money than providing actual care. To make matters worse, the chiropractor tried to sell us an old crutch for a few hundred dollars in cash--something that costs only about $35 at Walmart. Be very careful--this does not seem like a trustworthy or ethical healthcare provider.
