For 2 years straight I have had multiple injuries on the same foot. I have received care from great doctors and physical therapist. Basically I had a gait issue Despite all the treatment modalities the relief was short term and would move to a different location on the foot. More recently I ended up with plantar fasciitis flare up. And as luck would have it I met Denise. After the first eval and treatment, I came home and walked barefoot for the first time in years. I came down the stairs like normal people one foot only on one step. I actually went for a short hike of 2.8 miles. Before that I could barely walk Second treatment later I was able to be on my feet longer and did another walk, this time on a steep incline. It feels like I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with Denise’s expert treatment. Denise is also a very caring, empathetic human. Her ability to sense your comfort and adjusting the treatment accordingly is rarely seen these days in healthcare providers. She takes the time needed to work with you. I cannot recommend her enough.

Her kindness and bubbly personality are a plus as well. I can honestly say that my experience with her has totally change the way I understand my body - and just my overall daily comfort. We found Dr. Denise (Pickowicz) about a year after our son’s accident, which resulted in a fractured occipital bone and a bilateral craniectomy. Although he had made great strides in his recovery, his gait and balance were not good. We weren’t sure what to expect, but after the first visit/adjustment, his gait was noticeably improved. We’ve been seeing her now for about a year and a half, and in that time, we’ve come to realize what a true blessing it is to have Dr. Denise on this journey with us. Dr. Denise is what I consider to be a life long learner. She’s passionate about her work and is truly invested in her patient’s path to recovery. This is a woman who observes EVERYTHING about her patient and she listens carefully; asking thoughtful and in-depth questions. You can see the wheels turning while she’s taking everything in. She is constantly researching to find answers to questions that we pose to her, and we’ve gotten use to walking in to her office for our appt. and being met with new approaches to chronic issues that no other doctors could/would take the time to try and resolve. From her warm and inviting office to her bright (and contagious!) energy, she has been one of the biggest contributors to our son’s truly amazing recovery. Since her recent move to Alton, NH, we now drive 1+ hours a week for treatments and we would be willing to drive further if she ever moved further away (please don’t!🤣), because she is just too valuable to us! Dr. Denise is more than a functional chiropractic neurologist; she’s a detective, a researcher, a cheerleader, and a fantastic resource when you’re looking for other alternative treatment specialists. Everyone should have a Dr. Denise as part of recovery team!

Dr. Denise Pickowicz is honestly the best Doctor I have ever had. After being in a major car accident resulting in a terrible head injury and neck pain, my primary care told me to just wait it out for months and months while I continued to experience extreme pain on a daily basis. I finally decided I needed a specialist and luckily found Dr. Denise. She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, understanding and detail oriented. She went above and beyond to help me with multiple issues I didn't even realize I had. She noticed my eyes had been affected by the concussion and recommended me to an eye specialist to ensure I got the best care possible. The eye doctor even mentioned that she noticed quicker recovery time in patients that came from Dr. Denise. As soon as you walk in the front door, Dr. Denise's office has a warm and inviting atmosphere. She truly changed my life I don't want to think about where I'd be without her. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a concussion expert or chiropractor. She is the best at what she does and truly cares about helping you getting better.
